The development of DigiClerk (DC) is progressing well and here is a development update as of 25 May 2023.
Key business processes
To start we need to go back to the basics and the four key business processes of DC:
- Onboard Members
- Input records
- Look at records
- Download records.
These are the key processes.
We have completed the input development and this allows records to be digitised and uploaded.
Phase 3b development complete
With the completion of Phase 3b (P3b) we delivered the ability to ‘onboard members’ and ‘upload records’. Yes, there are areas for further improvement but the are there. As part of the upload records we have also created the DC app for your phone which enhances the uploading ability.
We have also created three collections: People; Stamps; and Yachting and the uploading of records onto those collections continues. The numbers of records uploaded are shown on those pages.
Phase 3c development
progress
We have now almost concluded Phase 3c which, primarily, is about ‘look at records’. This is live on the user acceptance testing (UAT) platform and soon to go live. If you look at the website now you can see the volume of records stored in each collection and you can, by looking at the graphs, see how those records are made up.
Sort and filter development update
In 3c we will be adding a sort and filter function to the graphs and tables. This will enable anyone visiting the website to see if a record they are looking for is there. However, it will not let them view that records. That capability is only for DC Members who, once signed, will have a view capability. That system is a little old school so, we are also developing a chatbot enhanced, google type, search capability. Once this has found the record then it will allow the Member to view that record. We are now working on the visualisation of the records.
