Whatever happened to this little racer made by Moores of Wroxham, Norfolk, UK? We have just uploaded the 1994 sales brochure and price list onto the platform.
As an avid sailor and dinghy racer, I am amazed that I have never seen one.
“Splash is a strict one design class. This means that there are no ‘go faster goodies’! The standard boat has all the gear on and every boat has the same gear. So you buy a boat at a competitive price confident that there are no ‘add-ons’ to buy to be competitive on the water. Splash is raced by 12-18 year olds. This enables youth sailors to develop their skills in a single hander competing against people of a similar age and experience until such time as they are heavy or strong enough to move on to other more powerful single-handers”
The standard boat was priced at £1,795 in 1994.
