As a church do you know the true value of your church records? Those records that you have stored in the church and those sent to county archives?
You will have records of baptisms, marriages, burial services and grave plots. There will be records of meetings and photos of vicars and WI meetings hiding in dark cupboards. All of these have a person(s), a place and a date. Exactly what DigiClerk needs to be able to link that record with others.
You will have a fee for the moment that someone comes to the church to look at the records and a fee if they want to take a copy. However, there is a geographical and cost limit involved in some one coming to investigate if there is a record. Wouldn’t it be better to get the records available online?
In terms of diversity, who gets to see those records?
DigiClerk can digitise your records (leaving the physical records where they are) and make them available online to a global audience.
Better than that, the church will earn income from those records. Want to know more? Please contact mark@digiclerk.uk
