Features and benefits
The Yachting Collection is for those seeking to store or retrieve records about various types of boats and related maritime items. The focus is on the maritime leisure sector.
The DigiClerk (DC) Yachting Collection allows you to give your collection a much wider, but yachting community, global audience. Right now, as a DC Member, you can take a photo of your record, using the DC app or using a scanner, and upload it onto the platform for all other Members to see, wherever they are in the world.
You can indicate which of your yachting records are for sale and what price you are asking for them (see future features for when they can be traded). Members can form groups within the collection which might reflect boat clubs, boat owner associations, regional groups, boat interest groups…you tell us how you want your community to look.
DC allows you to:
- upload and explore records
- upload your maritime archives and records
- share those records with others
- identify and categories records
- see what records are on the platform
- link those records with other related records
- create a collection or collections (a boat model)
- create interest groups (like a boat association)
- share your records to a filtered but global audience
Visualisation
We are now in phase 3c of development and will be able to demonstrate the ‘browse’, ‘search’ and ‘view’ functionality in April 2023.
Here are a couple of screen grabs of the concept of the four boxes and click here for the updated news.

Future
This paragraph describes what future development is planned for the collection:
- Identification. DC will suggest what boat brand and/ or model is
- Trading. Using electronic wallets DC will allow you to trade physical records.
- Chat. An internal chat facility will allow DC subscribers to chat to others in the community.
