As we write (6 Feb 2023) the DigiClerk Yachting Collection grows and now contains 2,031 records. From our estimation that leaves us with some 98,000 records still to digitise. Quite a task!
Those initial records were from David Harding (see his latest yacht review here).
As part of the development phase 3c (P3c) we will be enhancing the visualisation of the records. The first part will be the ability to sort and filter the graphs and tables on the platform. These illustrate the volume and breadth of records already digitised on the Yachting Collection.
We have created graphs that show the type of records held (photos, boat reviews, sales brochures etc.), the boat brands and the boat models. The illustration to the right shows the summary graph of the boat brands and the button leads you to the full graph showing all the boat brands covered within the 2,031 records.
The sharp eyed amongst you will see our immediate issue in that we cannot display all the brand names because, already, the graph is too large. Hence the need in P3c to create a sort and filter functions.
